Finally updating!

Finally updating....

Love her!!!

Loving story time with daddy before bed!

Chris made HAC in April...Claire is so happy and proud of him! :) Me too!

Allie and Claire had shirts and we made cupcakes and decorated the house to celebrate!

And Allie too! :)

Claire sitting up waiting for me to get her bath ready.

This is just one of our most favorite pictures of Claire! :)

Claire is just getting bigger and cuter everyday! She is now rolling all over the place and sitting up by herself.

She is sleeping in her own bed all night and wakes up talking and playing in her crib. :) It took a long weekend of letting her figure things out in her crib but she finally did it and is still sleeping great! She pitched her fair share of fits but learned how to roll over and put herself to sleep in the process. Little Claire can certainly have a temper when she wants to. She also went from hating being on her stomach to now rolling right over on her stomach and going to sleep...so cute to see her sound asleep with her little butt stick up in the air. :)

She has been fever free and had no problems since we stopped feeding her solid foods. At her 7 month check up she was gaining weight and developing great so we decided to just stick with nursing for a while longer.

She is definitely curious about what we are eating and will grab it out of your hands or off the table if you let her. She is getting so strong...and quick!

We are just waiting for the day that she decides to take off crawling...wow she will be all over the place and into everything! We are going to start baby proofing very soon!

Her favorite things right now are to jump to the point of laughter in her jumper, stare and smile at Allie, chew on anything and everything, listen to stories, and of course walks and bathtime are still at the top of the list! :)

Smiling is also one of her favorite things...it is so easy these days to get a huge smile and laugh out of her and we are loving it!

We have had visitors lately and are expecting more soon. Grammy came out to spend a week with Claire last month. Papa and Aunt Rachel will be here this weekend. Aunt Jenny will be here the next couple of weekends and we will see her lots this summer and looking forward to it!

Teeth!

Between the last post and now, Claire has gotten two of the cutest little teeth on the bottom. I have tried very hard to get a picture of them, but it is just impossible.
She has also started eating rice cereal. She was a pro from the start and loves it! She is quickly wanting to help feed herself and gets frustrated that she cant do it all by herself. haha For now, she "helps."
First Bite!

"Helping" Daddy

Here are a few pictures of what we wake up to every morning. Haha! Look at her bed head! :)

Pigtails and laughing! :)

She loves her feet!

Below are a few cute pictures of her in her St. Patrick's Day outfit! :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Happy St. Patrick's Day! :)

On another note, some of you know that she has been struggling with a mild fever for about 2 months now. She has had a few colds and been teething so the doctor attributed the fever to those things. However, last Friday, after her two teeth popped through, she was still running a fever so I took her back in. They did some tests and figured out that she has a UTI! This is really uncommon in babies her age and the doctor is concerned about kidney reflux. She is on antibiotics to take care of the infection for now. We switched to a new, stronger antibiotics last night and so far she is fever free!
She goes next week to have more tests done to see if it is kidney reflux and to what degree. She has to have a VCUG. Basically, they will insert a catheter and fill her bladder with dye and then watch on x rays to see how far the dye travels to determine if she has reflux and based on how far it travels, what degree she has. Luckily, Chris is able to take the day and go with us to the appointment...it will not be a good day for any of us!
Although the doctor did not seem to think so, we are hoping this is a random, one time UTI fluke type of thing. However, if not we are praying that it is a mild degree of kidney reflux which means she will outgrow it and will just need antibiotics for a year or so until she does.
Please keep her in your prayers! I will keep you all posted as soon as we know more.

Firsts...

I haven't posted in a while. Claire is getting bigger and cuter everyday! She will be 5 months old on Thursday...so hard to believe. It is flying by. She is still in her 0-3 months clothes but is very close to crossing over into 3-6 month size. She now smiles and laughs a lot. We have gotten her really giggling a few times now and it is the best! She is still showing all the teething signs but still doesnt have any teeth! We are all ready and waiting. She also is getting much better with her hands and grabs everything she can, including food and drink out of our hands.
Lots of new pictures posted since it has been a while.

As you all know, Claire has tons of pretty hair! We love it! Lately I have been playing around with it more. Here are a few pictures:

Claire's first pigtails! :)

First side ponytail! :)

Her other most recent thing is being fascinated with her feet. She does whatever she can to hold on to them.

She tries so hard to get her feet in her mouth!

She is also starting to get some rolls on her thighs.

Today we took our first trip to the park. It will definitely be a regular thing now.

Loving the swing!

So relaxed

Happy baby

Allie waiting patiently

Some pics of her in her stroller without her car seat attached!

Tired after the park...ready to head home

So sweet and tan! Definitely Chris' coloring...I'm jealous!

We had a busy, long weekend! Mike, Mary, David, Ann, and Lewis came down from LA to visit us. It was great to see them! On Sunday we went to the squadron and Chris got to show them all the helicopter. On Monday we went to Sea World...perfect weather!

Below are lots of pictures!

4 Month Check Up

Claire had her 4 month check up yesterday!
She weighs 13.6 pounds (50th percentile) and is 23 inches long (25th percentile). She is still in 0-3 month clothes.
She sure is a little tiny thing...but perfect! :)

She is having a worse reaction to her shots this time. She has run a pretty high fever ever since we got home from the doctor. Besides sleeping a lot, she has been her normal happy, smiley self! :)

Happy 4 Months Claire!!!

Fell asleep in her swing holding Dolly! Her new favorite place to sleep!

Sorry it has been a while since my last post. Claire has been sick with a fever and cold that turned bacterial...after almost two weeks, she are finally fever free for the first time this morning! She is on antibiotics and hopefully isr the hump! We have to reschedule her 4 month check up and shots since she was sick and cant get shots while she is sick...I dont think she minds! :)

Wow! I can not believe that Claire is already 4 months old! Time is going by too fast!
She is getting bigger and cuter everyday! She can hold her head up really, really well now. I think that she is going to be sitting up before we know it. Right now, when laying down propped up a little bit on a pillow, she can lift her head and whole upper body to a sitting up position! She falls over as soon as she gets there of course! It looks like she is doing a little crunch! Chris and I say she is doing ab exercises! :)
She is becoming so much more aware of things! She loves being read to and absolutely LOVES watching Baby Einstein...or anything on TV really.
She still hates tummy time but we get as much of that in each day as we can.
She is getting more and more use of her hands. She loves to have them in her mouth at all times! She reaches for toys, especcially Dolly, and can take her passy out of her mouth. She hasnt quite figured out how to get it back in yet and gets frustrated but she is almost there.

She surely is becoming more and more of a Daddy's girl everyday. She lights up with big smiles the second Chris walks in the door and spends each morning in bed with him and just staring at and talking to him while he gets ready for work.

She is still teething...no teeth yet! We are SO ready for that first one to pop through so we can hopefully have a little break before the next one.

The last two weeks with a cold, fever, and teething have been hard on mommy and Claire!
She went through about a week or so of being up every two hours at night. Which was hard since she has slept 6 hours at a time since we brought her home...I got spoiled.
The last week we have moved the swing into our room at night and she has been back to her normal sleeping schedule! She likes to be propped up! Whatever works, right?
She is also so funny! All of a sudden, she does not want to be held and rocked to sleep. She gets really mad when it is bed time and you try to rock her or hold her. She just wants to be swaddled and laid down and left alone to fall asleep on her own...too funny!
